There is a Geoblogosphere News functionality, which might be interesting for you: It tries to identify the stratigraphic context of blog posts based on the recognition and classification of stratigraphic terms. Using this, I have tried to set up some RSS feeds, which return the latest blog posts on e.g. Triassic:
